“From informal beginnings – doing up community hubs or sending local youngsters on breaks to the coast – our offer has evolved into the comprehensive social value strategy that now forms a core part of our work. By partnering with our clients and specialist providers, we deliver high impact, integrated programmes that provide long-term social and economic benefits. From creating employment opportunities for people with complex needs, to targeting advanced degree apprenticeships specifically at ‘locked out’ jobseekers, to supporting community larders giving families on a budget access to healthy eating, we work hard to make a tangible difference to our local communities.”

Kevin O'Connor, Head of Social Value Delivery
We work with clients and community groups to create lasting impact through jobs, training, and local initiatives. Our programmes support people facing barriers to employment, helping them build skills and confidence for long-term careers.
We also invest in communities by partnering with social enterprises, funding youth activities, supporting local projects, and creating opportunities for residents.
“Durkan, one of L&Q’s Major Works Partners, has set an exceptional standard in supporting our residents with training and employment opportunities. They have drawn on their expertise, industry knowledge, and strong sector networks to design and deliver a programme that genuinely supports residents into meaningful employment and has resulted in 15 FTE jobs being created working directly on the Major Works programme. Their passion for creating real job outcomes for L&Q residents is exemplary, and they continue to play a leading role in shaping the employment agenda across the wider partnership. We consider Durkan a highly valued and trusted partner.”

have to say about us…
Dear Durkan Regen, I wanted to send you all a big thank you for our Bursary awarded from DURKAN this year, and your wonderful donations of the tablets and furniture, and let you know how we have been doing with this incredible support you have shown us. From this funding we are going to support 10 of our youth ambassadors who are on their journey to careers and applications to colleges next year. So we are planning a half term week of art, photography workshops which they will be curating and delivering to their younger peers over half term. This is a program empower our young people in this project. We have been working with our young people in the social housing estates of Queens Crescent, supporting them with their applications and homework on the tablets that you donated to us. This has been a huge support for our beneficiaries and we have loaned out 3 of the tablets to Joshua, Kelvin and Florence who do not have any access to computers at home so this has been once again an incredible support to our beneficiaries. Thank You for this amazing support, we truly value your generosity and look forward to working with you.
